Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming limited series "Pride and Prejudice," which stars Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy. The streamer has announced that the series will premiere on Dec. 3.

The six-part production adapts Jane Austen's 1813 novel and is described as a faithful take on the source material. It follows the will-they-won't-they romance between two adversaries who gradually become lovers, set against the social landscape of 19th-century England.

The script was written by Dolly Alderton, the author of "Everything I Know About Love." Euros Lyn, who directed "Heartstopper," is at the helm of the series.

Olivia Colman, known for "The Crown," plays Mrs. Bennet, while Rufus Sewell of "The Diplomat" takes on the role of Mr. Bennet. Freya Mavor, from "Industry," appears as Jane Bennet, and Jamie Demetriou of "Stath Lets Flats" is Mr. Collins.

Daryl McCormack, seen in "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery," plays Mr. Bingley. Louis Partridge of "House of Guinness" is cast as Mr. Wickham, and Rhea Norwood, also from "Heartstopper," plays Lydia Bennet. Siena Kelly of "Black Mirror" portrays Caroline Bingley, and Fiona Shaw of "Killing Eve" appears as Lady Catherine de Bourg. Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery make their debuts as Mary Bennet and Kitty Bennet.

The ensemble is rounded out by Anjana Vasan ("We Are Lady Parts"), Sebastian Armesto ("Gangs of London"), Rosie Cavaliero ("KAOS"), Saffron Coomber ("Three Little Birds and Die Zweiflers"), James Dryden ("Deadpool"), Justin Edwards ("The Thick Of It"), James Northcote ("The Last Kingdom"), Eloise Webb ("The Queen's Gambit") and Isabella Sermon ("Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom").

Corrin is also among the executive producers, alongside Laura Lankester, Alderton, Lyn, and Will Johnston and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point. Lisa Osborne serves as producer.

With the trailer now out, viewers have just over a month to wait before the series arrives on Netflix on Dec. 3.
