Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato have teamed up for a nostalgic new campaign for Gomez's beauty brand, Rare Beauty, reviving the fan-coined "Delena" nickname that followed the pair through their Disney Channel years.

The campaign, called "Still Making Each Other Blush," looks back at the 2009 film "Princess Protection Program" and at the early YouTube videos the two made together. It also introduces a limited-edition product: the "Delena" Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Bundle.

The set is priced at $50 and pairs two shades of Rare Beauty's bestselling liquid blush. Hope is a nude mauve that Gomez favors, while Virtue is a beige peach chosen by Lovato. The bundle also includes a Soft Pinch Blush Brush and is sold exclusively on the Rare Beauty website, though other products featured in the campaign can be bought separately at retailers such as Ulta and Sephora.

Several images and videos in the campaign nod to the pair's earlier work. In one photo, Gomez and Lovato recreate the poster for "Princess Protection Program," dressed in updated versions of the blue and yellow gowns worn by their characters, Carter Mason and Princess Rosalinda. A video on Gomez's YouTube channel revisits their 2008 web series, "The Demi and Selena Show." In it, the two answer questions, talk about childhood crushes and lip-sync to "One and the Same," their duet from the film.

The friendship dates back to their childhood, when Gomez and Lovato first met on "Barney & Friends." They later starred in separate Disney Channel franchises, "Wizards of Waverly Place" and "Camp Rock." They stayed close in their early careers, although both have spoken publicly about stretches when they were distant.

The campaign follows a public reunion in April, when Gomez attended the opening night of Lovato's "It's Not That Deep" tour in Orlando, Fla. The appearance was one of their first public reunions in nearly a decade.

Lovato described the project as a "full-circle moment" in a statement. "Selena and I have shared a lot of memories over the years since childhood, so being able to connect in this way, in a campaign that feels so nostalgic to both of us, is such a full-circle moment," she said. She added that she has loved Gomez's liquid blush since the brand launched, and that being on set "felt like we were back in our old bedrooms making YouTube videos and playing with makeup."

Gomez said the experiences she has shared with Lovato are "truly unique." She called the campaign "a beautiful reminder of that history and a chance to celebrate who we are today," and closed with a line borrowed from their duet: "One and the same… always."

Gomez launched Rare Beauty in 2020, and the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush has become one of its signature products. The new collaboration does not introduce a new formula, instead pairing two existing shades in a limited-edition set.
