Two teams coming off frustrating Sundays will meet on Thursday night, when the Carolina Panthers visit the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET.

Carolina (3-3) had won two games in a row, one of them on the road, before a 43-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7. Green Bay (4-3) also fell short that day, dropping a 20-17 decision to the Detroit Lions after missing two field goals and letting several other chances slip away.

Oddsmakers have the Packers as 3.5-point favorites, with the over/under at 47.5 points. Against the spread, Carolina stands at 3-3 and Green Bay at 4-3. The Packers hold a 12-7 edge in the all-time series.

SportsLine's R.J. White, CBS Sports' managing editor of Fantasy and gambling, is leaning toward the Over. The Over has cashed in seven of the past 10 head-to-head meetings, going back to 2007, and is 6-4 in Carolina's last 10 games. It is also 1-0 in Panthers games when the total was set between 46 and 49 points.

The Panthers have been productive on offense and shaky on defense. They rank fifth in the league with 26.5 points per game but allow 27.7. Quarterback Bryce Young has completed 59.2% of his passes for 1,712 yards, 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. His leading target, Tetairoa McMillan, has 36 catches for 511 yards and two touchdowns.

Green Bay's numbers are more balanced, as the team scores 20.6 points per game and gives up 20.7. Quarterback Jordan Love has shown he can connect on deep throws, though the Packers' receivers lead the league in drops. Love has completed 60% of his passes for 1,958 yards, 13 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Wide receivers Christian Watson and Matthew Golden are tied for the team lead with 34 receptions each. Watson has totaled 595 yards and six touchdowns, while Golden has 512 yards and three scores.
